Rave Alert/Smart911 & e-News

Thanks to our service providers, Rave Alert/Smart911, e-Pay and e-Newsthis site no longer requires or features registration or login or passwords, the best defense against the incessant hacking...  Login remains necessary only for administrators.

Rave Alert/Smart911 is the existing Emergency Notification Service we use to make phone calls and send e-Mails and Texts regarding water line breaks, road closures, weather emergencies, etc., in compliance with state and federal regulations.

e-News uses our new MailChimp bulk-mail customer contact provider for subscribing to spam-free (and hopefully hacker immune) e-News/Newsletters and routine correspondence.  MailChimp makes sure that we comply with the latest spam regulations, and works with all major e-mail service providers to make sure our guaranteed-welcome and spam-free messages are issued through their systems without being blocked or filtered.

If you want our messages, subscribe.  See the links at the bottom of this page.  If you do not want our messages, login and unsubscribe.  It's that simple.  They do the rest.

e-Pay is a full-featured on-line store which lets us automate selecting and paying for services while gathering all the info we need from our customers for boat licenses and such.

Weeds

At our Town Meetings, Bill Kirkpatrick talks about our weeds.  Not all weeds are bad.  The weeds we deal with show we have a healthy, balanced Lake.  The 3 major weed types are covered in the links below:

Remember that different Lakes and bodies of water have vastly different environments.  Moving your boat/trailer between locations can be our biggest vulnerability to Indian Lake.  The following steps can greatly reduce the risk...

  • Dry your boat/trailer at least 7-10 days
  • Use a Chlorine/Bleach solution to rinse
  • Pressure Wash before launching in Indian Lake
  • Run Engine with boot/fresh water intake
